2 Cups Macaroni
2 Cups Cheese (cheddar or mozerella)
1 Cups Old Chedar Cheese (for flavor)
2 Eggs
2 Cups Milk
1 Tbsp Onion (chopped)
1 tsp Salt
¼ tsp Pepper
1 Cup Corn Flakes (crushed)
2 Tbsp Butter
- Cook Macaroni (for about 6 mins, you still want it to have some consistency).
- Combine cheese together.
- Beat eggs, milk, onion, salt & pepper.
- Place ½ of the macaroni in a 1½ quart casserole and sprinkle with ½ of the cheese mixture.
- Place the remaining macaroni on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese mixture.
- Pour the egg mixture (step 3) over top.
- Sprinkle with Corn Flakes and dot with butter
- Set casserole in a pan of hot water in the oven
- Bake at 350°F for about 50 mins (or until golden brown)
Variations:
- Add some bacon
- Add a clove of garlic
- Use leek with/or to replace the onion
